Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!1!!

I have not blogged in a while... so here goes! whee!

I got a job today!  Woohoo!  I'm going to be working as an on-call counselor for the Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center.  It's that a mouthful?  Lol.  Everyone there just calls it the S.C.4. :D I like it!  Anywhoo, basically, the place I will be working with is a home living center for people with mental disorders.  Elderly, criminals (yikes!), adults, etc...  It's a 24 hours/day, 365 days/year facility where the people live, eat, get counseling, have group sessions... all centered toward helping them develop the skills needed to carry out daily life. :) Sounds like an amazing place to me.

It doesn't seem like I will be doing much counseling, but I will be cooking, doing paperwork, interacting with all the residents... that kind of stuff.  I'm thinking this will be great experience for me as a student pursuing psychology, so I'm excited.  Although, I will have to work over Christmas!  Bah!  But it isn't that bad... :) My dearest will be home on December 15 and hopefully, since I will be in the area, I will be able to spend it with her. ^_^ That would be wonderful.  (I miss her sooooooooo much!  The more I get to see her over the holidays, the happier I will be, hehe)  So, I'll have to work weekends and holidays, BUT the schedule is made every 2 weeks, soooo, if I know I have plans in 3 weeks, my schedule can be flexible!  Aaaaand, my wage starts at $13.19/hr.!  Amagad!  For a college student, that isn't half bad! :D Hooray having a job with kinda-flexible hours that pays well that is in my desired career field!

So, I'm super excited... I called a couple of people, trying to find someone to go to 99 Bottles with and have a celebratory pint... but no one responded. :( So here I am... 10pm at home... alone, and lacking beer... BOO!  Meh, no big deal... I'll watch Heroes!

So it's 2am and I have insomnia. O.o' So I'm going to ramble about my day! Yay! :P So my buddy Peter just introduced me to a game called Eve Online.  It's an MMORPG from... wait for it... ICELAND!!  Wooooo!  Firstly, the game is awesome.  It's set 35,000 years in the future and basically, you travel around the galaxy in your spaceship and kill pirates and gather resources so you can buy bigger ships and stuff.  Secondly, it's an Icelandic game!  And Iceland is awesome in my book.  Anywhoo... there's bad news to this story... I'll never be able to play the game. @_@' The game won't work on my computer or the MacBook I was hoping to get. *cry* So that sucks sooooo insanely much.

Boo Being Sick!

You ever have one of those days where you wake up in the morning and your throat is sore?  Yeah, they are a drag.  I got woken up at 8am (3pm UK) which was too early.  I just got up and went to the market and got some food and medicine.  There was a benefit to this situation. :) I got started on building my desk very early in the morning, so that got done quickly.  We got a new TV stand today! :D And Savvy and I ran into Tyler and Gabe who hung out and smoked for a while.  They might come chill later, too.  Gah!  I just realized I have to build my dresser, among a plethora of other things.
